I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to part with some of my collection. Verlinden essentially created the market for resin figures, dioramas, detail upgrades and unique subjects in the 80s and 90s. François Verlinden guided the company and set the standard for those that followed. Sadly, they disappeared in 2016 but there is still lots of inventory out there if you know where to look. In this listing, you have found a dynamic scene showing the end of a banzai charge in Okinawa. The US Marine has drawn his sidearm to stop a charging Japanese soldier brandishing a sword. The large scale (1/16, a.k.a. 120mm) makes super detailing these possible. This set is obviously Out Of Production and very hard-to-find on eBay but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have it in stock and can reliably ship this product very quickly. I won’t do a big write up on this, but here is what I have found online about this particular set: Scalemates.com has a listing that shows the official box art of the assembled and magnificently painted scene. They also have links to other figures but nothing about this set in particular. This set is in a nicely decorated camo box about 7” x 6” x 3”. As you can see from the pictures, the box is in great shape and is still sealed with a long tape strip, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains several highly detailed resin parts to create your own WWII Okinawa battle scene with two soldiers on a small base. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown.
