CFL vintage suspension helmets. Try and find them. Very rare. This one is no exception. Perfect in every way. This is a game used helmet that like many, tells a story. The original date on the helmet is 1973, along with the nose bumper that was only produced in 1974. However the helmet stripes and gray mask date the helmet up to the 1978 season upon the Argos switching to a white mask for the following season. The helmet also has blue paint drips, overspray, and a center stripe that has been painted. There is dried tape residue on the front indicating that it was used in a later season during training camp with a players name taped to the front. The helmet is complete with Schutt OPO style facemask, interior suspension, original chinstrap, and leather jaw pads. The mask is secured to the helmet using reproduction clips yet retains it original slotted screws and hardware. The helmet exhibits moderate wear to both the exterior and interior of the helmet. Tough helmet to find. Great looking historical helmet that certainly has a story – more so than a shiny new modern helmet.
