Natural Manzanita Branches Fresh-Cut to your Order We have 100’s of beautiful, full Manzanita trees on our east Shasta County property in Northern California. These trees are full and thriving with branches of deep cinnamon red bark. When you place an order, we will harvest the branches and trim the leaves off. Then carefully pack them. This listing is for SIX trimmed branches, ranging in height from 20″ to 24″. We try to select branches that have multiple smaller branches with fullness. For more selection, etc, please visit. Characteristics of Natural Red Manzanita: Shape: shapes vary with each piece, harvest area, and time of year. Manzanita can typically grow wide and flat rather than symmetrically, although we try to always ship more symmetrical pieces.. Branches: branches can vary greatly in diameter with each piece. Size: sizes are approximate and vary with each piece, harvest area, and time of year. Bark: color and condition of the bark will vary with each season, harvest area and time of year. Spring through Summer (six month period), Manzanita bark will regenerate and peeling will take place. To remove loose or peeling bark, use a soft brush. For stubborn areas, use a light wire brush. Age: Manzanita branches will last indefinitely. Cracks and splits will occur as the wood naturally cures, however this will not cause them to break in half, fall apart, etc. Using the floral paint mentioned above to add color into the spliting areas makes them practically non-noticeable. Leaves: leaves are manually removed. Helpful Manzanita Branch Tips. When purchasing real Manzanita branches, please keep in mind: All branches are natural, each will be unique and different in size, thickness, etc. Size and width with vary. Generally, the larger the branch, the more offshoot branches you will receive. We cannot control the number of offshoot branches from each main Manzanita branch.
