This is an original oil painting by Annette Firestone. In my research, I found that the artist lived to the age of 99 years. Her full name is: Frances Annette Crockett Firestone. She was born in 1917 in Carrollton, Mississippi. She was a mother, homemaker, and was a retired librarian. At some point in time she became a very gifted artist. I have seen other works and they are equally beautiful as the one in this listing. She married twice and had many children and in time grandchildren. She is buried in Star City, Arkansas. With respect to this painting, I sometimes will make a custom frame for a painting that deserves the time, expense, and effort it takes to do that. The frame was made in my woodworking shop by myself. It is made of hard-rock maple, measuring: 27 7/8 inches in width, by 21 1/8 inches in height. The canvas (by itself) measures: 24 x 18 inches. The composition is amazing in detail and in the use of shading. The wicker basket looks almost like a photograph in its accuracy. This painting is a touch of summer all year long. The color pallet will compliment a wide range of room settings. The flowers are bold and beautiful, just as they appear in a sun filled English garden. Shipping throughout the lower 48 states.
