THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Ansonia Clock Company c.1894 Model: Shakespeare Figural Statue Clock Condition: This listing is for an Ansonia Shakespeare model figural statue clock case that was made in 1894. The case appears to be in original conditioin and nobody has tried to beautify it by painting anything. The case is complete including the gong just the movement assembly and dial/bezel assembly are missing. I couldn’t tell for sure in the reference book on whether the sword was supposed to extend past the heart below the chair or not, but I think the very tip of the sword may be damaged. Again, I am not 100% sure because its really hard to tell whether it was cast like this or not so, I am disclosing that it is damaged and if you find it wasn’t, then you will be even happier. There is also a stablizing wood piece that came apart from the bottom seatboard that will need to be re-attached as shown. There are 2 screws from the gong that are through the wood seatboard and it also has a stress crack that was repaired which is pretty common on these clocks. Shipping will be via UPS at a flat rate and most likely, more than what it shows. If it goes over the amount listed, I will cover the rest. I take great care in packaging all the items being sold but, I especially take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping. If the clock appears very expensive for S&H, please inquire BEFORE making the purchase and I will check the accuracy of eBay’s shipping calculator per your location.
