Up for grabs… An Antique Rare Early Primitive Large Handmade Wood & Bell Neck Collar Farm Country Americana Decor Cattle Cow Oxen Bull Wonderful patina and age wear to the wood. Possibly oak. Rarely do you see the wood collar with the bell. The bell has damage and repairs as shown, and one side is missing a chunk at the bottom. However , it still gives that loud clanking bell sound that you’d expect. In some photos the bell is on the top of the collar so I could show the wood in different angles, but where it was resting and swinging for years, you can see how it’s nicely withered the wood away smoothly where the bell loop was rubbing. Shows it’s age and gives it extra attraction, in my opinion. Has the letters O and A embossed into the wood on both sides. Presumably the cattle owners initials and/or maker of the collar. The twine was an add on for hanging purposes and for the photos. Measures: 23-1/2”H from top to bottom of bell knocker. Wood collar is 14-1/4”H x 3-1/4”W at widest width. Bell is 8”H x 5-1/4”W This is a great looking display piece for any farm, country or primitive decor. Please see pics as they are part of description as well.
