ANOTHER RARE AND BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM TIMEISPRECIOUS!! I AM A HIGH POSITIVE EBAY SELLER SINCE 2002-BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! OFFERED ON A BUY IT NOW TODAY IS THIS LOVELY OFFICERS ORIGINAL WW1 SOLID ENGLISH WHITE METAL SUPERB CONDITION TRENCH WATCH. A GREAT WATCH IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!. TIMED, OILED AND WORKING WELL! CASE: The 2 piece SNAP BACK double hinged case to this beautiful watch is made from white metal. IT IS AN EXCELLENT QUALITY CASE. This would have been an officers watch as this watch and was marketed and aimed at Officers who had to buy and pay for their own wrist time pieces as the M.O.D. would not buy them for certain parts of the armed forces until approx 1917. It has an unengraved case back which snaps on nicely. It has, as you would expect light wear. The case back cover shows NO dings and just light marks. The inside of the case back is unmarked apart from an ‘I’. The white metal lugs show no evidence of any old repairs and are in excellent condition. I have gently polished the case and it is shining well. THE WATCH MEASURES approximately 3.3cms (33mm) IN DIAMETER excluding the crown. DIAL: This stunning collectible watch has a fantastic original fantastic original bright white dial. It is unsigned. You would expect for a watch of 100 years old that it would have a few hairlines, BUT this dial shows no hairlines AT ALL that I can see. The numerals on this fantastic dial are Arabic and are lumed. They are sharp and crisp. The dial also has a subsidiary dial which is in nice condition. The crystal seems to be plastic and will be a new replacement. As such it is in minty condition and shows this beautiful dial off to perfection. The dial has stunning black steel ‘CATHEDRAL’ style hands which are also lumed. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL DIAL! MOVEMENT: This is a very nice original Swiss made 7 jeweled crown wind and set movement. It is unsigned apart from ‘Swiss Made’ The movement is in working order and has just been oiled and timed my watchmaker. It keeps time to with approximately a minute per day as tested over 24 hours. The movement has a nice compensated balance. BAND: This beautiful and rare wrist watch has a brand new black genuine leather ‘BUND’ band fitted which compliments and fits this wristwatch absolutely superbly!. The watch and band measure a total of just over 9 inches in total length. THIS IS A REALLY GOOD VERY COLLECTIBLE OFFICERS TRENCH WATCH. THE WATCH IS A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF ITS TYPE. This watch has recently been checked. However, shipping can be unkind unkind to watches. I do check the watch to be certain it runs when the watch is listed and we re-check the watch before it is shipped. There is no warranty on the running and considering this is a vintage watch, it is possible that an adjustment or servicing may be necessary.
