Pair of Audio Technica AT4050 Mid-sized (.81″) Dual Diaphragm condenser microphones in very good to excellent condition. NOT a matched pair. Each comes with a nice factory case, shock mount and velour bag for the shock mount.Detailed, accurate sound, excellent for acoustic stringed instruments such as guitar, mandolin, violin, etc. Also fine for horns, piano and even vocals on the right voice. Equipped with Cardioid, Omnidirectional and Figure 8 polar patterns via switches on the body. Switchable Lo-cut filter and -10db Pad also via switches on the mic body.I know an audio engineer that describes them as Japanese 414s, honestly ( they are not as nice sounding as AKG 414s, but they’re along that line and easily worth the price. Better than half the quality of an AKG 414 at less than half the price, of course that is subjective. They cost $700 new from Sweetwater, Musician’s Friend, etc. $750 for the pair, however I will sell individually for $400 each (will update the ad if one sells). Save $50 for the pair, as mentioned they’re not matched but I never put so much stock in that. How many people have identical ears? Not to mention they don’t get placed in identical positions or aim at identical locations.I don’t want to sell them, they are my best omni-capable condensers, but medical bills force sale.Thanks for looking!
