Beautiful Antique circa 1910 Pair Glass Candlesticks, Floral Engraved, Square Base & Top Excellent very clean condition, no chips or cracks, crystal clear. Both sticks measure 7 3/4″ tall, 3 5/8″ square base, 2 1/4″ square top. This very attractive square configuration of glass candlestick was very popular from circa 1900 to 1920. I don’t know the candlesticks maker or pattern name at this time, but they were definitely made by a higher end glass company, as both the base bottoms and tops are factory hand ground and polished flat, see pics, always a nice finishing touch only done by higher quality glass companies of the time period, eg, Heisey, Cambridge, Fostoria. The floral engraving is on the bottom of the base and on each side of the stem, see pics. Both sticks are clear/colorless glass but glow like vaseline glass in blacklight, see last pic, an interesting characteristic of clear/colorless glassware made from circa 1850 to 1960. Please ask any questions. (NOTE ON WASHING OLD/COLLECTIBLE GLASS- I SUGGEST NEVER WASHING SPECIAL GLASSWARE IN A DISHWASHER, TOO HARSH WILL FOG/ETCH THE GLASS, WASH ITEMS BY HAND ONLY.)
