Thank you!Up for purchase is a large, 46.4 gram, gorgeous piece of rare, untreated amber from the region of West Sumatra Island, Indonesia with an intense blue color with a region of green when natural sunlight is shining on it. A large region of the piece is polished while the remainder is in the rough as mined. This piece is translucent in areas but opague in others. The color may vary depending upon how sunlight is striking it also.The piece weighs 46.4 grams (around 230 carats) and has an approximate length of 6.5 cm, a width of 3.5 cm and 2.6 cm height. NOTE: 2.54 cm is 1 inch.NOTE: All pictures were taken under natural sunlight, no color enhancements. The color appears best when sunlight is shining on rather than through the piece and is due to the natural, untreated, chemical fluorescent properties of the amber.Please see my feedback. Indonesian amber is a recent find. This amber possesses a beautiful color. I also offer blue and green amber from other areas of Indonesia. The color can rival that of the finest Dominican and Chiapas (Mexican) blue amber. The color appears best when light is shining on rather than through the piece and is due to the natural, untreated, chemical fluorescent properties of the amber. It was mined from the earth in the Indonesian province of Sumatra or Sumatera (western region). No treatment of any kind was done to this to enhance the color. I may also have listed pieces of East Kalimantan, Bunyu Island Blue amber, Sulawesi Blue amber, and West Papua Blue amber for sale which exhibits a unique blue sometimes violet color also. A piece such as this would make a great addition to any fossil or gemstone collection.
