Presented today we have a great looking vintage Parker calender automatic wristwatch with blue sunburst dial. This Swiss timepiece is powered by the 1 jewel BFG 158 automatic pin pallet movement. This movement is running and seemingly keeping decent time within about a minute a day but is being sold as is. Looking extremely clean this movement is tucked safely inside the cushion shaped 36.5mm wide without the 4 o’clock crown and 43mm lug to lug case. This case has 18mm wide lugs and has been fitted to a brand new stitched black leather two piece strap with silver tone buckle. This strap not only provides a secure and comfortable fit but adds a sleek look of refinement to the timepiece. The case has a mirrored chrome finish and a stainless steel screwdown case back. All appropriate case back engravings are clear and legible. There may be some age markings to the case from over 50yrs of age but nothing of significant note as you can see. Under the fine condition acrylic crystal lies the blue sunburst finish dial. There is some wear on the lower portion of the dial but as you can see nothing that takes away from the beauty of the dial. The dial features silver square hour indices and a silver handset with black enamel detailing. The Parker logo and De Luxe model name are done in white print. The date window sits at 6 o’clock and has red numerals on a white background. The date changes at midnight. All in all this is a great looking and running budget Swiss automatic pin pallet keeping decent time with that audible ticking we all love from a good pin pallet. Whether you’re a fan of vintage Swiss automatics or pin pallets in general then you’re not going to want to miss adding this timepiece to your collection today. I’ve tried my best to highlight the condition of this piece with the description as well as photos under a variety of light sources but please read the description and browse the photos to determine for yourself if this is the right watch for you. As a disclaimer for anyone unfamiliar with vintage timepieces I feel the need to also point out that even if gaskets have been replaced that any vintage antique watch should avoid contact with water no matter what the case says.
