Codex CDX-7513 reader for Alexa XT/XR (Picture of actual item for sale – not stock photo – more pictures at bottom) This is a media reader for the Arri Alexa XT and Arri Alexa Plus 4:3 w/ XR module upgrade, allowing reading of CDX-3730 XR capture drive media over USB 3.0. The Codex CDX-7513 is a Thunderbolt 2 Capture Drive Dock (reader for the CDX-3730). The standard license for the software allows you copy Digital Camera Negative files (ARRIRAW or ProRes depending on what format was recorded). Similar to the Codex CDX-7510 and CDX-75112 (which is the USB 3.0 version). This is compatible with Mac only (not PC). Drivers / software for everything is available online (links will be provided). The latest Device Manager software is compatible with Intel and Apple silicon MacOS 15 Sequoia, MacOS 14 Sonoma, MacOS 13 Ventura, macOS 12 Monterey, and MacOS 11 Big Sur. Legacy Device Manager software also available if you have older Mac. It is important to match the version of Device Manager with your specific system for it to operate properly. These are only available on the used market and are quite rare to find, a neccessity to complete your Arri Alexa XT / XR package. Cosmetically this is cleaner than the average unit with only minor cosmetic wear in the form of some paint chips and scratches on case. Bottom foam is in very good condition. Includes power supply (generic). Buyer to provide their own standard Thunderbolt 2 cable. Everything is fully tested using CDX-3730 XR drives (not included) and a Macbook Pro to ensure in excellent working order. Domestic returns are free unless the buyer causes the item to arrive back in worse condition than it was received (abuse, damage, tampering, modification, removal/replacement of parts, significant usage added, etc). We reserve right to issue a partial refund in the above “buyer fault” scenarios corresponding to the severity of the issue. Return shipping cost is paid by seller for domestic returns.
