This is a F-Toys predecorated 1/144 scale plastic model kit of a Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 21 Zero Fighter as used by the IJN in the Second World War. This lot includes; 1 x F-Toys 1/144 IJN Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 21 Zero Fighter The Best Series 01A Please note that this is a Japanese “blind box” collectible. What is a “blind box collectable?” Blind box collectables, called “gashapon” in Japan, is the hobby of collecting items without knowing exactly what you are going to get. All the possibilities are printed on the back of the packaging but until the package is opened the exact item is unknown. Large networks of gashapon collectors trade on a regular basis in Japan. The most sought-after items of the series are the “secret” items. A secret item is a model that does not appear on the packaging. It is usually a special version of one of the models that is featured in the regular collection but often is of special significance (an air ace, a prototype, the last production unit etc.) Secret items are produced in much smaller numbers and quickly become sought after collectibles. Gashapon collectables can include almost any sort of subject. They can be aircraft, tanks, figures, science fiction subjects, video game characters – you name it and it has probably been done. In Japan, they are often sold in machines that look like enlarged North American candy machines. All of our items have been opened, identified and labeled as to what the contents are.
