F40 or F40LM Doors.The Rarest of the Rare.This pair of OEM Original F40 doors were removed from one of the first 100 F40’s produced.The doors were removed from the car during the mid ’90s- but no later than 1996. The first 100 Ferrari F40s came w/ plexiglass windowed doors. Roll-up windows and US-spec doors used different parts. Somewhere after F40 #50, there was an option for roll up windows.All the F40LM cars had these doors retrofitted, as all LM F40’a were modified from street cars- Except for the last 2 US F40LM cars. Making this particular pair of doors ultra-rare.The original car they were removed from, is unknown (unfortunately). However it IS known that the doors were removed after a light accident… & the car was retrofitted with the roll-up windowed doors. They are not Ferrari “spares”.They have been repaired recently using factory carbon fiber/kevlar weave material. Then a quick re-paint to make them red again. You will want to have them repainted again to match your car. You most likely aware the original doors are/were not perfect, body-wise… (slightly wavy etc…) this pair of rare doors are true-to-form. Set of original Ferrari F40 doors, right and left. As stated in the condition section these are repaired doors using the correct F40 carbon fiber/kevlar weave that is almost impossible to get. The repairs were done right, and allow the doors to be used on the track should the owner decide to. These doors are applicable to any F40 that left the factory with the plexiglass sliding windows, or enable any other car to be altered to the more desirable “euro” plexiglass window style while maintaining the originality of your existing door and window setup. These doors are also applicable to any F40LM project and allow an owner to save his own “standard” doors while upgrading his car to LM specification. Purchased for a personal LM conversion project, the doors are now surplus to my needs and are available to anyone worldwide. The plexiglass is available with other vendors, all I have is doors and a set of Ferrari inner latches for the inner part of the door that came with them. Fairly priced considering the offering. These are very rare and special doors. It is very rare to find a matched set of doors that came from the same car available for sale. These are not spares, they are doors that were delivered on a car in Europe during 1990 or 1991. They are an authentic early set, and are an excellent “Squirrel Away” for any F40 owner, or rebuilder seeking correct factory finish F40 doors. The paint originally on the doors has not been altered, and the repair area simply feathered in on the lower parts of the doors. I Ship worldwide insured once paid.
