Galliano 1 gallon Jumbo 27″ Glass Italian Liquor Bottle w/ spigot in stand ~ VTG Description: The 12-sided obelisk-shaped Galliano bottle has always been distinctive and easily recognized. Although this has an identical profile as it’s myriad of little brothers, this monster is in a class of its own. To the best of my knowledge, no other liquor has ever been retailed in gallon (3,785 ml) containers. Even cheap bag in box (BIB) wine typically tops out at 3 liters (0.79 gal). Regardless, this was promotional and they went all out! The shear size demanded a spigot spout, and it came with one of a few different brass stands, one of which was even illuminated. Capacity: 1 Gallon (3.8 liter) Interesting fact: Liquore Galliano L’Autentico, more commonly known as just Galliano, is a sweet herbal liqueur, created in 1896 by Italian distiller and brandy producer Arturo Vaccari of Livorno, Tuscany. It’s named after Giuseppe Galliano, an Italian officer of the Royal Italian Army of the First Italo-Ethiopian War. Its vivid yellow color, symbolizes the Gold Rushes of the 1890s. Condition: Pre-owned never looked (or smelled) so good. This particular bottle has been on display for decades. I cleaned, lubricated and reinstalled the spigot with new seals. The bottle was also cleaned and sanitized inside and out, ready for many more years of display, or as an incredible decanter. Although the stand polished up nicely, a little extra TLC never hurts! The multi-colored decal on the back of Giuseppe Galliano, is slightly wrinkled, but remains fully intact as does the lid and neoprene seal. There are NO chips, cracks, fleabites, fractures, flaws, scratches, scuffs, stains, leaks, discoloration, residue, broken welds, missing feet or any other cosmetic / structural issues. A portion of the tax stamp remains bearing the number “510082668”.
