Solid hardwood mahogany 25″ lid prop for grand and baby grand pianos. This is a genuine Baldwin part but can certainly be used on other pianos where the dimensions allow. 25″ long, about 2″ wide, end is round – about 3/4″ in diameter. 1/8″ mounting hole is about 1/2″ from the end of the prop. Slot in wider part is designed for use with a short prop, available in our eBay store.
If retrofitting, install so that the prop is perpendicular (approximately a 90 degree angle) to the top lid when in use.
Addition of a mounting cup is often beneficial. I have them in my eBay store, search for “lid prop cup”.
