Random lengths, random sizes, random bore lengths (if bored), random underfelt colors. Exactly what it sounds like – we take new hammers from our “too good to throw away but not a complete set” pile, add hammers in a pile on the scale until we meet or exceed half a pound (or however many half-pounds you order) then bag and ship them. We DO NOT pick out specific hammers by request. You might get bass hammers, you might not. You might get treble hammers, you might not. You might get blue, yellow, white or some other color of underfelt (the felt under the outer felt that actually strikes the string). You might get moldings that are 72mm long, you might get some that are longer or shorter. You might get some moldings that are 10.5mm wide, but they might be a little wider or narrower. You might get hammers that are already bored, you might get unbored hammers, you might get hammers that were bored then plugged. Plan on probably bored as we have waaaay more bored than unbored but there’s still a chance you will get unbored or bored/plugged. We sell new shanks in our eBay store in sets or quantities of 6… if you want to plug up a bored hammer and rebore where you want it, those will help. You won’t get used hammers. You won’t get grand hammers (ones typically with a longer, curved tail). Quantity will vary! Bass hammers weight more than treble hammers. We are selling by weight, not volume! Typical quantity will be somewhere around 30 +/- 10 hammers depending on sizes. If you need more consistent sized hammers, look in our eBay store for full and partial sets. Of particular note will be listing #293078176094 which is 9 hammers of relatively graduated sizes with shanks included.
