Specifically developed with a natural color polyurethane which ELIMINATES the black residue created by other black rubber pinch rollers while making it easier for clients to detect dirt build-up on the pinch roller.Having bearings instead of bushings means you will not have runout on the pinch roller. This is because the bushings sit loosely on the shaft which creates runout problems, where bearings sit snug which eliminates runout. Brass dampens the vibration that comes through the Capstan motor transport. A huge benefit. Even though brass changes color if not plated, you can take a piece of sandpaper and make it look new. The change is only superficial. Aluminum corrodes faster, bubbles and becomes a white powder which can’t easily be restored. The oxide goes deep into the surface with aluminum, unlike the brass. A reason manufacturers may not use brass is that it’s very expensive, 4x to 5x more expensive.
