Vintage Scott Kalitta MAC Tools American International 1997 Top Fuel Dragster This Limited Edition NASCAR replica has been stored in our warehouse for many, many years and has never been sold. You will be the first owner of this beautiful collectible. This is one of only 4,000 produced and in mint condition. Box is showing age and shelf wear. Replica is pristine. Please email with any questions before purchasing. Thanks! Scott won the Top Fuel championship in 1994 and 1995. In 1994, he became the first Top Fuel driver to have four straight event wins (Columbus, Topeka, Denver, and Sonoma), and he won five events that season. He won six events and 45 rounds of competition in 1995 to win the championship. His 1996 season had him win the $100,000 Budweiser Shootout at Sonoma en route to a second-place points finish. He had the top speed at a series-best eight races that season. Kalitta won the Topeka event for a fourth straight year in 1997. He first retired from Top Fuel in October of that season, but came back once again in 1999, and once again in 2003 racing in the Funny Car category. We purchased these items we have listed on eBay years ago when they were first made available to retailers and sold them in our diecast store. We closed our store over 20 years ago and stored all of our inventory in a warehouse. Please understand, this item has been stored in several different warehouses over the last 20+ years. Consequently, the sleeve, the box, and the item itself may have storage and age-related issues, including, but not limited to broken seals, old price stickers on it, warping, dust if it was a display model, shelf wear, water staining from heat and humidity, discoloring from sun exposure, issues with paint finishes, or issues with moving parts. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ITEM STILL DISPLAYS NICELY. We try to take good pictures to show the condition of the box and the item, however, some issues just do not show up in photos. Unless specified, it will have no missing parts and will include all accessories (Certificate of Authenticity, info cards, keys, etc.) just as it was received from the manufacturer/distributor. This item is listed as “New” because it was for sale in our diecast store but was never purchased, thus, the age-related issues sometimes make it look “Used”, but it has never been out of our possession in all these years since we closed the retail store.
