This listing is for the leather holster as shown. It is a new old stock holster that has just been sitting for many years in it’s original plastic hang bag. It is a patent leather finish that has not aged well and has the cracked look (almost like alligator). It still works great and the only really bad spot is the strap of course as it gets the most use. The whole reason for using patent leather is it’s waterproof and that is now moot as it is not waterproof with all the cracks. There may be another minor cosmetic issue or two, but just from bumping into other bags of the same type item for years in a box. All the snaps work, some easier than others, all the snaps should probably have a shot or two of lubricant as they have long since dried up of their factory lube. This is a “Break Front” holster, meaning the revolver can be “spun” out of the holster without having to clear the top of the holster as the front leading edge has a flat spring inside the leather on both sides to retain the revolver when being carried. This particular holster is black leather and is setup for a S&W K-Frame revolver with a 4″ barrel. It’s possible a similar sized revolver with a 4″ barrel may work also, but please be sure as I am only saying that it was made for the S&W K-frames. Holster weighs 16 ounces as you see it, so it is quite heavy duty with a very heavy duty belt mount. Will ship in a padded flat rate envelope with some cardboard wrapped around it before being put into the envelope. Thanks for looking. Be sure to check out my other auctions!
