Odd# 1950s Marx 33222 Deluxe Diesel Switcher Freight Set ATSF yellow cattle car Description Here’s another listing by Lone Star Trains and Collectibles, Your Classic Era Train Headquarters! When have you seen THIS number before? SCROLL DOWN ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING to see MORE PICTURES!! This is a set number that is not in the Greenberg Set book and more significantly, one that you do not see all that often. If you gotta have one of them all, this is one you may not have seen available. You are looking at a scarcer and colorful Marx freight set from the 1950s. When we find Marx, more often than not, it is pretty rough. Marx was played with! This set does show a few rubs and scratches, but it is cleaner than most we find. This is a neat diesel switcher set, one of the more deluxe sets Marx issued. It is headed by a #1998 At&SG Santa Fe diesel switcher. It pulls a flat car, gonsola, caboose, and best of all a yellow (scarcer version) AT&SF cattle car. Also includes track and transformer. The track is probably more than originally came with it, and has some Lionel mixed it. This is how we got it. Upon request, I am happy to sub out all Lionel for Marx 027. FEATURES Deluxe plastic 8 wheel Tilt couplers With set box CONDITION: C-6+, some would call C-7. Complete. Engine tested and runs, reverses nicely. Engine has some scratches, rubs and scuffs on top; yellow mark on top; melt mark on steps. Horn is an exact reproduction. Boxcar has discoloration. All cars looks nice but DO show usual playwear. Track is used. Set box shows discoloration, water damage, some tears, etc. Pictures show it all and are part of the description.
