eBay >Offered here is an old and original 1940’s “Queen For A Day” television show yard-long panoramic photograph, beautifully framed under glass!! Please see all nine photos, as they are an important part of my description. This rather scarce yard-long photograph measures approximately 26″ x 9″, with the photo bringing back memories from the mega-popular t.v. series which was hosted by Jack Bailey. Bailey is prominently pictured on the photograph, along with the show’s fashion coordinator Jeanne Cagney as well as the show’s announcer Gene Baker. The panoramic photo features a great wide view of the show’s studio audience. The show was taped on NBC-TV in Hollywood, California at the Earl Carroll Theatre which was located on Sunset Boulevard; the show was also taped at Frank Sennes’ Moulin Rouge in Hollywood. Sponsors of the show included the Philip Morris tobacco company and also Alka-Seltzer. This yard-long photo is housed in a vintage wooden frame (very nice wood!), under glass; the frame’s paper backing also looks to be vintage….so I’m certain it was framed back in the day! Though undated, I believe this classic framed television photo originates to the 1940’s era. <>History: Queen For A Day was a radio and television game show that helped usher in American listeners’ and viewers’ fascination with big-prize giveaway shows. The show originated in 1945 in New York City, before moving to Los Angeles a few months later. Outstanding piece of vintage television memorabilia!! <>Condition: there is light creasing evident through the glass; you can also see some scattered stains along the photo’s right border. With that being said, this game show memorabilia is in *Fine Shape* overall and simply displays super!!!
