original antique milton zeis rockford IL tattoo tracing flash HCP folk art 8×12 rarest of rare item. honest charlie potter told me that MZ sold him his first machine when a couple other suppliers would not sell to him, being a new tattooer. charlie remained loyal to MZ supplies from then on. milton zeis then died. someone named ed took over the mailing of his supplies named “ed”. charlie told me that this was milton’s son. i have since learned that miltin never had a son from someone who has privileged information. anyway charlie told me he sent “ed” who he believed to be milton’s son some $$ to help pay for the milton’s funeral. ed was very grateful and sent charlie several items including this tracing of doc king designs. milton’s son told charlie that milton himself drew this tracing sheet with pencil along with 2 others. it’s interesting that the viking knight kewpie has JMZ on it. (doc king production flash the same initials too i know). tattoo history is always pretty complicated. haha came from honest charlie potter of san antonio, texas. HCP got it directly from “ed” who he believed to be MZ’s son. rip amigo. 8×12 inch original hand drawn with pencil on tracing paper. paper is aged and brittle. this is not any sort of recent reproduction. see photos as they are part of description. images on listing are photos of the actual flash itself.
