This is the original battery cap and base plate for the original version (version with Asahi Optical Company written on the back) of the Pentax K1000 (not the later model made in China). Important note: this cap is frozen into the bottom plate and I have used it this way: when replacing the battery, don’t remove the cap. Remove the three tiny crosspoint screws on the baseplate and insert the new battery, then replace the baseplate. Please make sure to use a tiny Japanese crosspoint screwdriver available in a kit at Walmart to do this to prevent damage. This sale is for the battery cap, bottom plate and the three original attachment screws. Please look carefully at the cap and bottom plate and compare it to yours before purchasing. You can see the cap well (black positive symbol) from inside the bottom plate. I have also provided a photo of the back of the camera this fits with the language on it the camera body.
