Record Description In this listing, I am offering up CDs that were manufactured before the “loudness wars” of the mid-1990s and beyond. These CDs are from the early days of manufacturing in the US. If you read music forums, these are supposedly “flat transfers” of the original music and don’t feature the compression that became the standard in later years. Your mileage may vary. They are from Mercury, Motown, and MCA. Conditions vary. They run the gamut from Poor to Like New. That is true for the cases as well as the discs themselves. Most are going to be Good or better. They will be listed Artist – Title (Condition). The condition grading is based on the playing surface of the disc only. You could get a Like New CD with a Poor case. I’m not grading cases/inserts.
