This is a Ralph Lauren N-1 deck jacket, in a size XL. This jacket was made for their now defunct Denim & Supply line, a sub-lineage of Ralph Lauren, that was a 00s and 10s project based mostly on vintage-inspired denim and military heritage. This jacket is based on the U.S. Navy’s ‘N-1’ deck jacket, and is based on a later model, featuring a wool-lined collar, and a cotton-lined body, and a a jungle cloth exterior, which was the hallmark of the original N-1’s. Jungle cloth is similar to a very thin-waled corduroy, that’s exceptionally rugged, and utterly unique. In keeping with the originals, the jacket features a repro Talon brand zipper, the likes of which would’ve been used in the 40s and 50s, and also has a button-closure outer flap for wind resistance. The jacket is pre-distressed, as you seen in many of Ralph Lauren’s heritage pieces, with stenciled writing and names on the back, as well as artfully placed paint and ink marks across the lower half of the body and sleeves. The jacket is tagged as a size XL, but could likely fit up to a 2XL. Check the below measurements before purchasing. A note on color: The wool collar tends to look more green in person, but in certain lighting can look more beige, as the photos show. Measurements:Chest (pit-to-pit): 25 in Shoulders: 20 in Hem: 24.5 in Length: 30.5 in Sleeve Length: 27 in Great condition. This garment has been aged and distressed on purpose, and features paint and ink stains to the front and back, as well as on the sleeves. Additionally, there are some small, purposeful spots of engineered wear and fraying. One small pinhole in the label. See photos for more details. Sold as-is.
