For sale is an extremely rare NEW old school Lightning Audio Carbon Capacitor SCC1. Back in the day, Rockford Fosgate created additional items under the Lightning Audio brand. Some items were very different and others, like this capacitor, were basically the same. This model is equivalent to the Rockford Fosgate CPCC1 50 Carbon Capacitor (I will have 2 of these listed so you can see the similarity). It looks the same as the RF version but with the different brand. I purchased this new probably 15-20 years ago. Back then I used the RF 50 farad capacitors to run a big stereo with over 7,000 watts (see my profile pic). This was purchased as a backup as I needed to have the same style cap based on the custom stereo. I never needed to use this, so it’s been sitting in storage ever since I bought it. The box was never even opened until I took pictures. It comes with everything it came with from the factory: warning sticker, mounting screws, manual, piece of paper describing the digital display, and charging resistor (used to charge and discharge the cap) which is still sealed by tape in the plastic. The Ziploc plastic it comes in has never been opened. The box itself has some wear on the edges and the bottom, and the cardboard itself isn’t as sturdy as it once was. Cardboard tends to lose its integrity after sitting in storage for 15-20 years, as I’ve noticed this was many other boxes I had in storage for so long. I took some pictures to show the condition of the box and just want people aware of the condition of the box. This is new but is being sold AS IS due to it being car audio equipment and my not being responsible if someone doesn’t install it correctly. This would be a great addition for someone with a big competition type of stereo as it’s not intended to be used with smaller stereos. Fast free shipping. Accepting offers as well.
