Beautifully engraved by the Security-Columbian Banknote Co. in 1971, each bond features a sexy 70’s Ms. carrying the earth before the Milky Way (a truly “cosmic” vignette) as well as a hypnotic kaleidoscopic panel at the left. The denomination appears as an ornate medallion with a huge $ sign – something every collector loves! The $1000 is blue, $5000 orange and $10,000 brown. The Trustee is First National City Bank (now Citibank!) and the bond is signed by the company president and secretary. Issue dates fall between 1971 and the early 1980’s. Buy 1 get the $1000 bond.
