This gorgeous Stechcol plate is from “The London” collection! The plate is 7″ in Diameter and appears to be a cup saucer plate. I have limited information on this particular plate by Stechcol as they are VERY HARD TO FIND. The plate is in excellent condition and does not appear to have ever been used. It has no defects like chips, cracks, crazing, glaze issues, etc. This can make an excellent addition to your collection, a replacement, or a stand-alone piece. The colors are beautiful and eye catching and include yellow, pink, red roses, purple/pink flowers, green leaves, and a yellow/black butterfly. The artwork on the plate include a crown on the left side, “The LONDON” across the top, a postmark on the right side that says “Hartford CT Feb.2 95” and some writing underneath the overlay of the butterfly that reads in part “National … Portrait Galleries, Broadway and 10th St., New York, 627 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C.” I collect china and came across this beautiful plate and know someone out there collects and needs this piece for their collection!
