This integrated system is designed exclusively for Takamine G Series instruments. Most likely if you are viewing this ad you need to replace your current pickup. Here are just a few examples of Guitar models that use the CP100: EG50TH, EG330SC-NS, EG340DLX, EG345C 12-String, EG455SC, EG523CDX, EG530SC, EG536SHB, EG530ASC, EG450SMC-SB There are several other models that can use the CP100 pickup. The CP-100 will work on just about any Takamine G Series Guitar with a 3” straight saddle. The CP100 Pickup Assembly is NOT meant for BASS or Nylon string G Series Takamine Guitars. BASS and NYLON string pickups are available in the AddictedToToneInc eBay store if one is needed. How to tell if your guitar can use this pickup: Verify that your current preamp accepts a 2.5mm male plug in the INPUT jack. (NOTE: ALL Takamine Preamps use either the G Series 2.5mm input or the Pro Series RCA style input.) Verify the length of your guitars saddle slot. The CP100 is 3” in length (A folded dollar bill is about 3” in length) Verify the width of your guitars saddle slot. The CP100 is 3mm wide (a new American Quarter and Dime coin measure about 3mm when stacked one on top of the other – Could these two stacked coins slide into and fit snugly inside the saddle slot? DO NOT Force.) SIDE NOTE: If you have a guitar with an Original Floyd Rose Locking Vibrato system you can use the 3mm Allen Wrench you use to tighten the locking nut with to check the saddle slot width.. Specifications: Saddle / Pickup element 3mm (3/32nd)wide 75.94mm length (3”) 10mm (13/32nds) tall at highest point between D & G string 15″ cable lead 2.5mm male connector Right handed guitars6 or 12 String guitars The innovative Takamine CP-100 pickup arrangement utilizes a U-shaped aluminum rail securing the pickup and saddle securely together for a snug fit inside the instruments saddle slot. This configuration produces an articulate, well balanced string response when using a plectrum or playing finger style. The pickup arrangement captures vibration not only from the string pressurebut the energy produced from the soundboard resonance as well! The CP-100 pickup is NOT a conventional under the saddle piezo pickup! The CP100 will work with Nylon, Bronze and Nickel strings. The CP100 was designed exclusively for Takamine “G” Series Instruments. The integrated saddle is compensated so intonation is maintained up and down the fretboard. IMPORTANT: If you desire to lower your string action by adjusting the height of the saddle remove material from the TOP of the saddle not the BOTTOM. If you modify the BOTTOM as you would a conventional saddle it will destroy the seating integration of the saddle and its interaction with the pickup element rendering it useless electronically. AddictedToToneInc does not accept returns because of a third parties ineptitude, specifically “repair technicians” that do not know how to properly diagnose possible defects of the individual components used in the Takamine electronic system. AddictedToToneInc checks each component for possible electronic defect when the new product is received from Takamine and verifies its working condition once again before it is shipped. ~ If its new, why is it tested? I am asked this every once in awhile and in a world where internet sales are largely automated and there is no human interaction it is a very reasonable question to ask! The item you are purchasing is inspected and tested before they are shipped to make absolutely sure everything is working 100% Time is taken to check the new Preamps when they arrive from Takamine and then pass through a more thorough audio and electronics test before being packaged and shipped. Non electronic parts like Tuners, Nuts, Saddles are careful inspected and tested; any part that requires assembly is assembled. Many stores do not possess a working knowledge of the Takamine equipment they are selling and simply send merchandise without examining the item being sold. As a guitarist, artist and former touring musician I understand how important this equipment is to the individual purchasing it; most of my customers are casual players but for some of my clients the part is needed for work and making a livelihood so an extended downtime makes for some potentially hungry days! My endeavors are not approached as a mere “numbers game” or how many boxes of product I can move, for me it is much more personal, most of my clients work very hard for their money; I appreciate and respect the fact they have chosen me to do business with.
