This is one of many paintings I've created of this famous hotel. I love the pink stucco and old world charm of this historic hotel located at Waikiki Beach. DETAILS This painting measures 18 x 24 inches. It is painted hot pink on the almost 1.5 inch wide sides. It is signed by the artist at the bottom (K C Jones). The date, title and other details are included on the back. Refer to the photos for item details. No frame is required! Gallery wrap canvases are thick and painted on the sides! Her father has placed (numerous times) in the top tenth percentile in state and federal duck stamp art contests, and her mother has sold work at a local gallery. Kristi studied art at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts (NOAFA), and is also self-taught. She has sold work at local shows and galleries, and has exhibited in shows in New Orleans and in northwest Caddo Parish, including Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art, Artspace, the Bailey Gallery in downtown Shreveport, as well as the prestigious Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. In 2011, she was awarded a visual arts grant from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC). In 2015, she was commissioned to create 29 paintings for the new University Medical Center in New Orleans. Her work was selected for the art poster (20th and 25th anniversary respectively) of the Sunflower Festival & Trail in Gilliam, Louisiana. She is a member of Louisiana Artists Inc and the Hoover Watercolor Society. Her artwork is collected nationally and internationally.
