VINTAGE (1600s) BRITISH AXE WITH NICELY SHAPED HEAD & ORIGINAL HANDLE. This beautiful piece of British history is just over 17″ long with a 5.5″ head and a blade over 8″ long. It weighs 3 pounds and dates back to the 1600s. As you see in the photos, it is in very good condition with an age split and wormholes in the handle, and the blade is angled. When I bought this out of Scotland the head was nice and tight, but after being in the low humidity of Colorado a while, the wood had dried and the head is slightly lose. This is out of a gentleman’s collection from Edinburgh, Scotland. As always, I offer a no-questions-asked 60-day return policy.
