Offered for sale is a used, Vintage 1960s Hubley Kiddie Toy 1:43rd Scale Piasecki HUP Helicopter, Yellow, #483. This toy features a transparent cockpit and tandem folding two bladed rotors. This vintage Hubley Helicopter is used and has been played with over the years. One of the rear rotor blades has been broken off, probably trying to fold them as advertised. There is some minor paint loss also. Please look carefully at the pictures for additional details concerning condition. I sell all items as is. Hubley produced a wide range of airplanes, often reproducing actual military aircraft with good detail. Like the automobiles, Hubley aircraft were manufactured from multiple pieces which were usually put together with Solid Rivets. They had moving wheels and guns, and sometimes retractable landing gear. The wheels were often manufactured of rubber. A double rotor Piasecki Helicopter was also made. The Piasecki HUP Retriever/H-25 Army Mule is a compact single radial engine, twin overlapping tandem rotor utility helicopter developed by the Piasecki Helicopter Corporation of Morton, Pennsylvania. Designed to a United States Navy specification, the helicopter was produced from 1949 to 1954, and was also used by the US Army and foreign navies. The HUP/H-25 was the first helicopter to be produced with an autopilot and also the first to perform a loop. This is a nice older, 59 years old, diecast metal replica that would make a great gift or awesome addition to any collection/display. Thanks for looking.
