Vintage Scuba – an Original Superlight – a Great Vintage Dive Light!! Ike was his name & he wanted a decent dive light, so he made one.This simple act resulted in a famous product name for lights, camera housings, underwater cameras & many other diving products. His 1st light was a simple plastic molding with a square 6 volt battery, a tractor sealed-beam bulb & an orange, screw-on cap.That orange cap was soon to be recognized by everyone in scuba. It said “a good dive light made by Ike – an Ikelite”.The 2nd was the Ikelite 2 (not sure if that’s a genuine name).Very similar to the original Ikelite, it featured a sliding battery instead of a switch. Finally Ike made the best light ever – the well-named Superlight.This light was extra bright, maybe the best of the time.Plus it could be used as a photo or even a video light with a change of the bulb.The handle was interchangeable for a lantern grip or a video mount.Otherwise it was the same rugged, simply dive light that made Ike famous. This light is in nice condition, could still be used although 6v bulbs are getting hard to find.A nice vintage dive light with a history._______________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT!! — READ THIS!!!
