Map with a copyright date of 1961, this is a map titled “Los Angeles Street and Vicinity Maps”, probably given free by the Chevron gas dealers in LA. Closed it measures 4″ x 9″ but when fully opened it measures 42″ x 18″, with maps supplied by Standard Oil of California. Front cover has an outstanding illustration of the Griffith Observatory and on the back panel page (there are 16 panel pages) there is a Chevron employee (wearing a bow tie) giving directions off of this map, while two other Chevron employees pump gas and check the oil level in the car (remember those days???). Designed so that it can easily be unfolded and folded. Item appears to be in very good condition. From a pet free and smoke free home-the map has no odor. Only 1961 version of this Chevron map on ebay.
