It is a display helmet in the style that was worn on the tundra before it was called the tundra. Not trying to mislead anyone with this helmet. Please re-read the first two sentences. This is a vintage Wilson Etholite style helmet – preferred by the Bears, 49ers, and other NFL and college teams. I believe the date is 1964. Shell is painted over a GB gold molded shell, stripes and logos are thin mil. Logos are two part, interior is good and intact – unlike many you see. Facemask is an original Wilson 2 bar – the early version before the Kansas Comet made it famous. Number on the rear is the same stenciled font that Dad marked on the rear. Matches the number written on the inside padding that has been worn by some sweaty noggin. Just a beautiful custom display helmet – done right with just the right amount of wear. Try and make one like it. Good luck. Yes, it is a custom display helmet but as close as you will find to what was worn during the early 60s in the NFL when the Packers dominated the gridiron.
