Up for sale is 1 of 5x ribbon bars all worn by one career army officer. All estate fresh sadly no other militaria came with them and no attribution was available. They all were awarded to a career army officer who saw service in WW2 & The Korean war… This auction is for 1x theater made japanese or korea made black / grey backed ribbon bar, it is a 8x place bar, each of the ribbons are hand stitched silk like material clearly hand made and quality craftsmanship, no doubt all custom ordered….. looks better in hand camera had a hard time focusing.. it has a backing tape of sort that has dried and is bascially just sitting there, as show it is not structural to the bar.. This example shows Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, American Campaign, WW2 Victory, Army Occupation, National Defense Service medal, Korean war Service & Korean war Campaign medal UN.. While commonly seen for Navy ribbons similiar hand stitched army bars are much harder to find… Im sad to split this grouping but with his set of retirement awards it would be impossible to attribute this set to anyone as far as i know…. His retirement awards are as folows Legion of Merit w 1x OLC Bronze Star Army Commendation Medal American Campaign WW2 Victory Medal Army Occupation Medal National Defense Service Medal Korean War Campaign Medal Army Expeditionary Medal Korean War UN service medal…. These ribbons show what would account to no less then a 20-30 years active duty army career.. A true piece of american history Picture nunber 3 is just to show grouping as it was found this listing is for the ONE ribbon bar show in the other photos..
